Commercially Available Surgical/Medical Tape vs.
TrioMed Antimicrobial Medical Adhesive Tape
A comparative protocol was executed for a period of 5 hours, during this time frame the adhesive non-woven of both the tapes and dressings, currently found in hospitals, were placed on a patient with the protective paper backer in place. Following this; in controlled conditions, the paper backer was removed and the non-woven (adhesive side, face down) was plated.

Conclusion: As scientifically demonstrated above, ALL medical tapes and dressings' external surfaces become contaminated by microorganisms which then migrate under the adhesives and also directly through, seriously compromising wound healing.
